Project Manager – PMO

Responsibilities:

As a Project Manager on the PMO team, you will be responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and monitoring activities of multiple project teams involved in the analysis, design, development, and implementation of IT initiatives.  You will be involved in all aspects of the project lifecycle from idea, planning, through implementation.  You will collaborate with others to define project scope and objectives, identify required skills and resources for the project team, develop detailed work plans, and provide project status at multiple levels of management.  In addition, the Project Manager anticipates and identifies project issues and risks, recommends solutions, and works with senior management to implement solutions.  This role has opportunities to be involved in many aspects of the business including IT infrastructure, application development, security and compliance, business processes, organizational change, and operational support.

Qualifications:

  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
  • Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
  • 5+ years of IT Project Management experience along with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field; or 2+ years of IT Project Management experience along with a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field
  • Proficient knowledge of project management concepts such as PMBOK, Waterfall, Agile, Prince
  • Proficient with Microsoft Project or similar project management and risk management tools
  • Capability to manage programs with multiple projects within it
  • Experience in gathering, analyzing and documenting business requirements
  • Intimate knowledge of phases of full life cycle development
  • Proficient knowledge of analysis techniques, tool usage and standards
  • Knowledgeable with computer system concepts, i.e., servers, storage, database, middleware, and networking
  • Successful track record of effective resource management is essential
